Eric Morozov

Little Eric Morozov from Ukraine is three years old, and he has been bravely fighting SMA type 0-1 since birth. His family has recently settled in Poland, where he can finally get access to the appropriate medical therapy. However, medical insurance does not cover all the essential equipment he needs.

Thanks to the kindness and swift response of our partner Börgel GmbH and Anastasia Kuznetsov, Eric now has a much-needed cough assist device by Respironics—an important step in his care and well-being. This generous in-kind donation will help ease his daily breathing challenges and improve the quality of life.

Currently, Eric is starting rehabilitation in Wrocław, where around 20 Ukrainian families with children diagnosed with SMA have already found support and highest expertise of local specialists.

Eric is trying his best at active games, loves cars and everything related to them, and is starting to say a few words. His journey is not easy though—his neck still needs support, spinal muscles are weak, scoliosis is progressing, and contractures require constant attention. Every single day, his family fights alongside him, working tirelessly to give him the best chance possible.
