Ramir Kovalevsky
Ramir Kovalevsky with SMA Type 2 from Kazakhstan has received a LUISA noninvasive ventilator (NIVL) at a total cost of $11.780 from BFS and all of you.
In the life of children with SMA, there are enough moments that need to be controlled every second. At the most unexpected moment, due to a simple cold, such children may develop pneumonia. Their chest muscles, like all others, are weakened, and they are unable to remove phlegm on their own. Pneumonia usually develops rapidly, and has terrible consequences.
To prevent them, special medical equipment for lung ventilation is required, but its cost is incredibly high, so that parents are forced to open fundraisers or look for sponsors.
We are glad we were able to help before it is too late.
